Urban Hike

Yesterday was an exquisite Spring day and a good opportunity for an adventure. Not wanting to waste gas(so expensive these days) I checked with MTA(Metro Transit Authority) since the bus stops at both ends of my block, got schedule information, packed my day bag with camera and jacket and walked to the bus stop. The bus was right on time. The ride brought back many memories from early childhood riding the bus to school in downtown Chattanooga.

Attended Outside the Lunchbox sponsored by Vanderbilt and held at TPAC. Delicious free lunchbox and memorable performance by Pa's Fiddle Band. The music consists of songs referred to in the Little House on the Prairie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Dale Cockrell of Vanderbilt has done a wonderful job putting this together. Very Enjoyable

Headed down the streets of Nashville, looked at them with a tourist eye as well as a native(born here but have only lived here for the last 8 years). On a cool sunny day we have a photogenic town. Started snapping pics down at the river. Love the geometric shapes of buildings and bridges.

Lots of construction changing the look of the city - its becoming a city. Miss some of the views that are being cut off by new buildings. But life changes and now is all we have and its enough.

Great day. Great city. Great life.
